Are you salivating yet?
People always ask me what the inside secrets are about food. I do not know the answers. I am neither a fashionista nor a trained chef who works so hard to keep or gain a Michelin star. Food is not like fashion to me, but if it can look as good as the tartlets you see here, it's entirely possible I could be wrong!
I enjoy good food that tastes nice to the palate and is simple to make. We can all buy delicious ingredients in a grocery store and simply enjoy cooking them to serve a simple and splendid meal that will please everyone at the table.
Everyone who writes cookbooks can teach anyone to do just this. However, I have not seen one that tells you how to save money and become wealthy by making the effort to cook at home instead of going out to those food assemblers who call themselves “ restaurants “.

I am Alex Greer and I have several questions to ask all of you who are taking the time to read this book, in order to understand why I have decided to write it.
1. How many of you are willing to spend $25.00 on an 8oz salmon dinner but find it too expensive to spend $15.00 a pound for a fresh piece of salmon at the fishmonger’s or the supermarket?
2. How many of you are willing to order premium drinks at $10.00 a pop but refuse to spend $25 to $30 at the liquor store for the bottle where you can easily get 30 drinks?

4. How many of you go out once or more for dinner during the week?

All the above questions are designed to make you think of how much is spent going out or calling for take out, without realizing the money that is being wasted in the bankrupt economy we find ourselves in. For the perplexed ones, try stopping at the ATM before you go out, and use green paper money instead of charging the famous $25.00 dinner which will carry the burden for the next 30 years, in case you only pay the minimum on your charge accounts.
Most cookbooks are the same and offer wonderful recipes. This one is different because it will make you think smart while helping you to build up a nice savings account along the way. The idea is to cook something simple and delicious while paying YOU at the end of the meal instead of the food providers at restaurants which assemble food theses days instead of cooking the ingredients from scratch.
In this economy, filled with the highest unemployment ever, we are all told to make changes, but where does one start? Most of us do not know where to start, and that is why this book will become handy and helpful. All you need are the basics which are laying around in the kitchen……a good knife, a good blender, a food processor if you can, good olive oil, and salt and pepper. The rest comes in later as you become smarter.
How about we all give it a try, first by opening up a separate savings account, in person or on-line, nicknamed….."the smart account"! You can throw in it whatever you want and it will grow. It will be like old grass that never goes away. I guarantee a true love story between you and the “smart account “and you will cook, eat, and save at the same time. That same $25 you save by cooking at home, invested regularly, will be worth thousands of dollars to you over time, and you will have all the great memories besides!
